Information On Cruiser Bikes

Cruisers are bikes which imitate the styles of bikes from the 1930’s. They are not meant for riding down a country lane or a rocky road. They are meant to carry a person in style. As soon as you hear someone talk about cruiser bikes, you imagine a motorcycle bar with guys in leather jackets. The true essence of a cruiser bikes is that they capture that feeling of desire. Most cruisers have a particular design; the handlebars are long and high while the seat is right at the back. The foot controls are right in front making the rider look as if he’s driving a car. One of the biggest producers of cruisers is Harley Davidson. V-twin engines are the most common ones but there are other kinds of engines in production too. They are good for riding at slow speeds and short distances. But a long journey can tire the rider because he has to pull back on the handle bars to withstand the force of the wind. They have a low ground clearance so they are a no-no for Indian roads.

Custom motorcycles give a whole new look to cruiser bikes. They are highly modified bikes that have been mad to look totally different from other bikes giving uniqueness to every custom produced. Custom bikes were the fad from the 1990s to the 2000s.

Choppers are a type of cruiser bikes. The word chopper was used from the 1960s after the release of the movie, ‘Easy rider’. It is a word used for a bike which has a greater angle at which the front suspension jutted out. They are either old bikes that have been modified or are built from the start. Chopper frames are welded and cut into shape. They have small fuel tanks and ape bars. They are generally bikes with front wheels extending at least 2 ft from the rest of the bike. Customizing a bike was quite expensive and they also had chromed parts and elongated forks. America is one of the few places where custom made choppers are given licenses. But before the choppers were the bobbers.

Bobbers were essentially bikes which had been stripped down to be lighter and faster. They were built around unmodified frames giving them a rugged look. They were ‘Homemade’ bikes having a design related to each of their owners. Bobbers were the earliest type of custom motor-cycles. They were the easiest to build from stock motorcycles and were hand made. They were the norm in early biker clubs and had a simple motorcycle look. Bobbers were considered to be the first street-fighting motorcycle. Hybrid styles of bobbers have emerged. Retro-bobbers and bobber choppers are examples of them.If you want to know More Information on Cruisers bikes Please Visit To Site
